Looking ahead ... Time for Creation 2025
... the Time of and for Creation is not a matter of seasonality but an event from time immemorial and culminating in the Cosmic Christ as the Apostle Paul and the author of the Book of Revelation present this to us. As Teilhard with his evolutionary view of creation and human involvement in it makes it clear: creation is an ongoing process very much dependent on human love and care!
From this biblical point of view, it is meaningful, to liturgically observe our human responsibility for a creation in evolution as our mission during the time that is given to us here on earth.
For more than three decades, The ARGE Schöpfungsverantwortung has been observing the Day of Prayer for Creation (“Creation Day”) by engaging in creation care activities and concluding it with the celebration of a Creation Vesper. This year, too.
Creation Liturgies everywhere!
We invite you to celebrate suitable and creative liturgies on September 1 that broach the issue of an ongoing creation and our human responsibility for creation as attunement to the Time for Creation.
They are available on the Homepage of the ARGE Schöpfungsverantwortung.
